Since the early 1960’s, the Westminster House has helped combat addiction by offering a comfortable environment to hold recovery meetings and events.  The facility is home to a diverse array of recovery and support groups ranging from alcohol and drugs to gambling and eating.  There are approximately 50 meetings each month in the building serving in excess 1,000 people in the tri-state area.

Our mission for the Westminster House is to provide an exciting and inspiring environment where people feel welcome and safe. Located conveniently on West Main Street in Newark between the First Presbyterian Church of Newark and the Newark Country Club, the facility features 4 meetings rooms that can accommodate up to 150 people, free coffee, two offices for private meetings, outdoor picnic tables, a fire pit and off street parking.

The facility is a non-profit organization managed and run by The Westminster House Board and supported by the church, community and recovery groups who rent the facility.  New recovery groups and activities are always welcome at the facility.
